Pipeline Strainer Collage

Pipeline Strainers (CAD DRAWINGS)

Keckley Strainers are available in the materials required for most applications, including highly corrosive fluids. All castings are supplied in strict adherence to ASME and ASTM specifications. Cast iron is the least expensive and most often used material. Bronze is widely used for marine service in salt water. Carbon steel is used in the oil and petrochemical market, where greater strength and resistance to mechanical and thermal shock are important. Stainless steel strainers are used in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, where high resistance to corrosion or contamination free conditions is necessary. The screen or basket is the heart of the Keckley Strainer. The media flows into the open end of the screen or basket and is strained as it passes through the screen toward the outlet. All particles too large for screen or basket perforations are trapped inside. Screens are provided in perforated metal or wire mesh, depending on strainer size and/or material being strained.

Duplex Strainers

Keckley duplex strainers are used in continuous flow applications where the process cannot be shut down for cleaning. Some examples are lubrication systems, industrial or marine oil burners, chemical plants, cooling lines in power plants, compressors, condensers, and ink supply lines to printing presses. Keckley duplex strainers are also specified for water lines to cooling towers and pumping stations where water is taken from lakes or rivers.

Float & Lever Valves

Float valves and lever valves are designed to control the level of liquids through mechanically actuation. Float valves are actuated through the attached float ball, float rod, and lever assembly and do not require any external power source. Lever valves are actuated through the use of some external power source such as manual operation, float boxes/mechanisms, electric motors or other actuators, through external linkage to the lever of the valve.

Float Box

Float Boxes

Float boxes for closed tanks. Float Boxes are used in the connection with closed tanks where fluctuation of the lever in the tank is the governing factor in the control of the lever valve, signal switch, motor or other equipment.

Float Mechanism No. 20M

Float Mechanisms

Designed to operated a lever valve, electric switch, or other equipment, in accordance with changes in liquid level in a closed tank.
