Keckley Y strainers are designed to be installed effectively in a vertical or horizontal pipeline, with the screen cleaned by opening a blowoff valve installed at a blow- off connection or by simply removing a plug in the bushing or blowoff flange.
Keckley basket strainers are designed to be installed in a horizontal line. The basket is lifted out of the top for cleaning. If pressure conditions permit, a basket strainer can be fitted with a clamp type cover for frequent cleaning needs.
KECKLEY Fabricated Strainers can be fabricated in a wide variety of materials, Carbon Steel, 304 Stainless Steel, 316 Stainless Steel, Alloy 20, Hastelloy C276, etc. Special dimensions can be supplied.
Keckley duplex strainers are used in continuous flow applications where the process cannot be shut down for cleaning. Some examples are lubrication systems, industrial or marine oil burners, chemical plants, cooling lines in power plants, compressors, condensers, and ink supply lines to printing presses. Keckley duplex strainers are also specified for water lines to cooling towers and pumping stations where water is taken from lakes or rivers.
